Welcome to Kay D Transportation Ltd. By booking with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions which outline the basis of the services we provide. Please read them carefully.
1. Definitions
“We”, “Us”, “Our” refers to Kay D Transportation Ltd.
“You”, “Your”, “Customer” refers to the individual or business requesting our services.
“Services” refers to our man & van, removal, and delivery solutions.
“Goods” refers to all items moved or transported on your behalf.
2. Booking & Payment
All bookings are subject to availability and must be confirmed in writing or via phone.
Full payment must be made before or upon completion of the job unless agreed otherwise.
We accept payment via cash, bank transfer, or other approved payment methods.
A deposit may be required for long-distance or high-value moves.
3. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the job will not incur a charge.
Cancellations within 24 hours may be subject to a fee of up to 50% of the quoted price.
No-show or last-minute cancellations may incur full charges.
4. Insurance & Liability
We take great care in handling your items.
Basic Goods in Transit insurance is included for all jobs.
Additional insurance coverage is available upon request for high-value items.
We are not liable for damage to goods that were not adequately packed by the customer or a professional.
5. Customer Responsibilities
Ensure access to both pickup and delivery locations is clear and legal.
Inform us in advance of any items over 80kg, fragile goods, or unusual access conditions.
Be present or represented at the agreed pickup and delivery time.
Secure all valuables, documents, and fragile items in appropriate packaging.
6. Delays & Access
We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, road closures, weather, or third parties.
Additional time caused by delays beyond our control may incur extra charges.
Congestion, parking, or toll fees are the customer’s responsibility unless agreed otherwise.
7. Parking & Fines
It is your responsibility to arrange parking for our vehicle(s).
Any parking fines incurred due to lack of proper parking will be added to your final invoice.
8. Disassembly & Reassembly
Disassembly or reassembly of furniture must be agreed in advance.
We are not responsible for damage resulting from previously damaged or poorly assembled items.
9. Refusal of Service
We reserve the right to refuse service if:
The job is unsafe or illegal
Payment terms are not met
Items exceed legal weight or vehicle limits
10. Complaints
We strive for customer satisfaction.
All complaints must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of service.
We aim to resolve issues quickly and fairly.
11. Data Protection
We only collect necessary personal data to fulfill your request and do not share your information with third parties without your consent, except where legally required.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be handled under the same jurisdiction.
